Good luck to Dianne as there’s change at New Queen Street

Goodbye and best wishes to Practice Manager Dianne Gross who has left after nearly five years at New Queen Street and Stanground surgeries.

After joining as a locum Practice Manager Dianne was offered the opportunity to join the practice on a permanent basis in April 2019. One of the biggest challenges was setting up Stanground as a Covid vaccination centre and helping the team deal with unprecedented post-Covid demand.

She said: ‘It has been a very volatile few years and we had to respond quickly to challenges, while keeping everyone safe. As a result of increased demand seen across Primary Care, we have implemented many changes, including new phone, triage and online consultation systems to make the most of our workforce capacity, so it has been a definite process of challenge and change.

'I’d like to acknowledge the support and expertise of the GP Partners, my fellow Practice Managers and the Lakeside Executive team who have all been invaluable in sharing best practice and making sure that changes are implemented appropriately and for the benefit of patients and staff. I'd also like to thank the Patient Participation Group, who are volunteers who take a keen interest in the running of the surgery and represent patients and their views.

‘It has been a real privilege building such close and happy working relationships with my colleagues. They are a great professional team who do their utmost daily to provide the best patient care. Finally, I'd like to wish the new Practice Manager, Lyndsay Cocks, every success. She is very experienced and will bring a new impetus and focus. I am sure she will be made to feel very welcome and part of the team, which I have been proud to have led for so long.'
