Advanced Nurse Practitioners

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioner is an experienced nurse with advanced clinical training. They can assess, diagnose and treat a range of health problems.

They can help you by:

  • assessing and treating minor illnesses and health concerns
  • prescribing medicines, when needed
  • arranging tests and reviewing results
  • giving advice about your health and treatment
  • referring you to another healthcare professional or specialist, when needed

Emergency Care Practitioner

Our Emergency Care Practitioner is an autonomous, highly trained experienced paramedic who assess and treats a range of urgent and same-day health problems.

They can help you by:

  • assessing new or worsening health concerns
  • diagnosing and treating some minor illnesses and injuries
  • carrying out clinical assessments and examinations
  • arranging tests or further treatment, when appropriate
  • referring you to another healthcare professional or service, when needed
  • helping make sure you receive the most appropriate care for your needs

Nursing Team

Our Nursing Team work as part of the wider practice team to provide nursing care, advice and support.

They can help you by:

  • providing vaccinations and injections
  • supporting you to manage long-term conditions, such as asthma and diabetes
  • providing contraception and sexual health advice
  • carrying out cervical screening (smear tests)

Health Care Assistants

Our Healthcare Assistants work alongside our nursing and wider practice team to provide routine health checks and clinical support.

They can help you by:

  • taking blood samples
  • checking your blood pressure, weight and other routine measurements
  • carrying out health checks
  • carrying out routine clinical tests
  • supporting some long-term condition checks and monitoring
  • providing some vaccinations and injections, where appropriately trained

Phlebotomist

Our Phlebotomist takes blood samples to support tests, monitoring and ongoing care.

They can help you by:

  • taking blood samples requested by a clinician
  • supporting blood tests for long-term condition monitoring
  • carrying out routine blood tests for medication monitoring and other health checks
  • making sure samples are prepared and sent for testing
