When We Are Closed

Urgent Medical Treatment

A doctor is always available outside of surgery hours in the event of an Emergency Phone Day or Night:

 New Queen Street Surgery: 01733 204 611

Stanground Surgery: 01733 568 569

You will be automatically diverted to the NHS 111.

A receptionist will take your call and arrange for you to speak to the Duty Sister.  The sister will decide whether to give advice, to transfer you to a Doctor, to ask you to attend the Emergency Centre, or arrange a home visit.

They will need to know:

  • The Patients Name
  • Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Age and problem details

NHS 111

If you require urgent medical attention or advice outside of surgery hours please call NHS111.

Calls are free from both landlines and mobile phones.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
